1973 graduated from Ferghana State University
Vladimir works at the local Foundation of Fine and Applied
Arts and is an active member of Ferghana chapter of the Painters
Association of Uzbekistan.
Since 1990 he participated in a good number of local and international
exhibitions, showing his tapestries, cheegrass and batik works.
Vladimir works together with his wife Svetlana Shihova, who
is also a talented tapestry artist.
