Gregory Kohelet - painter, poet
(b. 1954 in Fergana, Uzbekistan)
1981 graduated from Tashkent Institute of Performing and Fine
Arts, even though his first teacher was his father, Anatoly
Kapzan, who is a famous Fergana sculptor and artist.
Few years after graduation, from 1986 - 1989 Gregory returned
to the same institute and taught art to students only slightly
younger than himself.
Since 1990 he traveled extensively and lived in Tashkent, Moscow,
St. Petersburg, Warsaw, Jerusalem, and Amsterdam. These days,
Gregory calls his home Hague, Netherlands. He is married and
has two sons.
Gregory is not only a painter but a poet with recognized talent.
He also enjoys studying religions and is currently writing a
book called Kabbalah and Art.
He participated in numerous group and individual exhibitions
and showed his art pieces in many cities including Tashkent,
Moscow, Jerusalem, Utrecht, Dusseldorf, Gent, Paris, Madrid,
Geneva, New York, Palm Beach, Washington etc.
